Rare black opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia in New South Wales is the preferred source for our opal due to it’s darker base color.
The opals used are a selection of solid opals, opal shell doublets (actual opalized shell fossils with a dark stone filling the back) and opal doublets (a thin fine quality opal with a dark stone base).
